Bob McElligott

Bob McElligott joined the Columbus Blue Jackets broadcast team as radio color analyst on the Blue Jackets Radio Network, including flagship stations WBNS-AM, Sports Radio 1460 The Fan, and WWCD-FM, CD 101 in July 2009.

In addition to his in-game duties, McElligott will serve as a host on both the radio pre- and post-game shows, as well as club ancillary programming. He will also be a regular contributor on BlueJackets.com, the club’s official website, through video features on Jackets TV as well as editorial content.

McElligott has spent the past 10 seasons serving as the broadcaster for the Syracuse Crunch, the Blue Jackets' American Hockey League affiliate. In addition to calling the action on radio and television for the Crunch, he produced a regular Crunch feature for the Blue Jackets Radio Network and called play-by-play action during several Blue Jackets games over the past nine years.

In addition to his work with the Crunch, the Somerset, Pennsylvania native has been the radio and television voice of the Syracuse Chiefs, the current International Baseball League affiliate of the Washington Nationals, and hosted a weekly one-hour radio show since 2000. In 2007, he served as the radio broadcaster for the Triple A Baseball All-Star Game. He also has been a morning sports anchor on Syracuse radio stations WSEN-FM, WFBL-AM and WOLF-FM since 2004 and has broadcast Syracuse University football and basketball games for ESPN 360, as well as a variety of college and high school sports for Time Warner Cable.

Prior to his arrival in Syracuse, McElligott worked with the ECHL's Johnstown Chiefs as well as six years calling baseball action in the Carolina League (Single A) with Kinston, Wilmington, Prince William and Salem.
