Jen Bowden

Jen Bowden is vice president of community relations for the Columbus Blue Jackets. She joined the organization in September 2011 and oversees community relations, sustainability, inclusion, and government affairs for the club. Bowden also leads the team’s philanthropic arm as executive director of the Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation.

Prior to joining the Blue Jackets, Bowden held roles as the director of corporate and government relations and capital campaign manager for Mid-Ohio Foodbank, where she secured over $18 million for the organization in her four years. Before joining the Foodbank, she spent several years in charitable fundraising in Washington, D.C.

Bowden actively serves the community through volunteerism and civic participation. Currently, she serves as a board member of City Year Columbus and is a committee member for the 2013 March of Dimes “March for Babies” campaign; the YWCA Columbus’ Leadership Luncheon Series; Mid-Ohio Foodbank’s Development Committee; and Operation Feed’s Recruitment and Retention Committee. She is also a past board member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

A graduate of The Ohio State University, Jen and her husband, Dan Elbaz, have one daughter, Parker, and reside in northwest Columbus.
