A.J. POOLE Vice President of Corporate Development
A.J. Poole A.J. Poole was named vice president of corporate development for the Columbus Blue Jackets in June 2012, returning for his second stint with the National Hockey League club. He oversees all corporate partnership and premium seating sales and service initiatives for the organization.

Poole originally joined the Blue Jackets as a corporate development account executive in 2006 and spent nearly four years with the club before taking a position as manager of corporate sales for the National Football League’s Philadelphia Eagles. During his stint with the Eagles, he led efforts to secure a partnership that made Lincoln Financial Field the first stadium in the world to be powered by 100% renewable energy.

He most recently served as the vice president of business development for Alliance Marketing Partners, a boutique sports and entertainment marketing firm in Philadelphia. In his role at AMP, he oversaw the expansion of the sports consulting division and assisted with general strategic planning for the company.

A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Poole received his bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Ohio University in 2002. He then went on to earn a master’s of business administration degree in 2005 and a master’s degree in sports administration in 2006, both from Ohio University.

Poole and his wife, Jackie, are the parents of a son, Dylan. The family resides in downtown Columbus.
