Blake Geoffrion, Pro Scout

Geoffrion, 25, announced his retirement as a player earlier this week. Nashville’s first pick, 56th overall, at the 2006 NHL Draft, Geoffrion scored eight goals and dished out five assists for 13 career points in 55 combined games with the Predators and Canadiens from 2010-12. He also appeared in 84 career American Hockey League games with Milwaukee and Hamilton, tallying 21-43-64.

Prior to turning pro, Geoffrion spent four seasons (2006-10) at the University of Wisconsin. He recorded 55-59-114 in 147 career NCAA games and won the Hobey Baker Memorial Award as the top collegiate player in the nation in 2009-10 after registering 28-22-50 in 40 games for the Badgers. A native of Plantation, Florida, Geoffrion won a bronze medal with Team U.S.A. at the 2007 IIHF World Junior Championships and helped the Americans capture gold at the 2006 IIHF World U18 Championships.
