1. Bounce back-ability

One of the Blue Jackets' hallmarks last season was their ability to respond well to adversity. They dropped a 4-3 decision on opening night this season to the Calgary Flames, a game in which they simply did not play very well. They rebounded the next night in a tough environment in Long Island, where the Islanders were all revved up for their home opener and built a 2-0 lead in the second period. The Blue Jackets chipped away in the third period, got the game to a shootout and saw Cam Atkinson end it on a beautiful forehand deke. Most recently, the Jackets responded to a four-game skid by getting back on track at home and winning their last two contests.
