Mike McKenna, step right up.

Less than two weeks after being recalled from Springfield as the AHL's Goaltender of the Month in November, the 30-year-old veteran finds himself as the Blue Jackets' starting goaltender against his hometown St. Louis Blues. McKenna, who filled in for the injured Curtis McElhinney in Thursday's win, stopped 17-of-18 shots against the Rangers and showed his strong puck-handling skills and ability to distribute the puck to his defensemen.

Having not played an NHL game in roughly three years, McKenna was up to the task and gave the Blue Jackets a chance to preserve their lead and leave New York City with two points.
